Changes to my Study Programme

I'm a student of Visual Arts at the Universidad de Chile here in Santiago. I have a lot of subjects in the curriculum, and I think the variety it's great. Subjects such as painting, goldsmithing, sculpture and many others. And maybe, that's the first problem in the list. A big part of the students haven't enough time to study all the things they want to. For example, this year I wanted to learn and have a lot of subjects, but I could only take three. So I would change the curriculum in honor of time.  The career has good things and some bad things. The building is really old, so cold in winter and extremely hot in summer. The toilets not always have the necessary implements, like soap and hygienic paper. But the faculty has a nice garden with a lot of trees and plants, even fruit trees!. Sometimes we’re aloud to eat the fruit. That's pretty nice. Teachers are very different from each other. Some are more understanding than others, so the workload depends.  And some

Time Travel to the Future

Travel to the future? well, actually I’ve never thought about it, because is not a very suculent idea for me, maybe because I don't like to think about it, I'm a pesimist. Present right now is not kind of nice. I listened a chilean podcast named “Caso 63". It's really interesting, is about a person who comes from 2063 and travels to the past to warning about the future.  The version of the future who talks this man is an apocalyptic one, and for the way things go right now, maybe he's right. But, for the exercise of imagination, I'm going to talk about a future I would like to go. I am afraid of water scarcity, so, in the ideal future this is not a drama anymore. I would like to the travel to a year where people respect natural resources and they don't destroy the world and themselves. A place where children's can live peacefully.  That would be nice. I think I wouldn't like to stay there anyways. I have my life here with people I love, and I have

My dream job

My dream job? Wow... I don't know. Am I suppose have one? Well,  nowadays I'm studing Visual Arts since 2020. I used to study Drama Arts at other university , and I thought I wanted to be an actress, but sometimes life doesn't go the way you want to. Details. I left Drama Arts in 2019, and I took a test to enter in Visual Arts at the recognized Universidad de Chile. So, I entered into "Ciclo Básico" which is like a bachelor, and once you approved the two common years you can enter in the oficial career without PAES.  Thanks to this chance in life, I discovered a beautiful world in the arts. In fact, during the past year I started thinking a lot about the future, my future. I thought "well, maybe I want to be a teacher!" but... teacher at school? At university? Where…. Actually, no. I really want to work with children's, but not in a conventional way. I would like to work with vulnerable children's, because I think they need a special and differe

The Best Concert

Imagen
Last year I saw on concert my favorite singer, Mitski. It was at the Primavera Sound Festival in a very hot and sunny day. I didn't have money, so I found the way to go anyway. I found a company who was going to be in the festival, the company is "Recicla tu evento" and my job was to help people to know where to recicle their wastes. I saw Mitsky in the third day. Mitski is an American-Japanese singer and I love her and her music. She is so performatic and beautiful when is singing. Her songs are truly sad and emotive, I think she's so real and human. There was a lot of people, mostly of my age. When Mitski starts to sing, everybody yelled at the same time. A song everyone knows is "Nobody" but my favorite song is "Strawberry Blond" and she didn't sing it, but I was happy anyways. She is really important to me, because her songs are so warm and caotic at the same time. I'm happy of the memories I got.

A little visit to Mexico

I would love to go to Mexico. There's a lot of reasons to visit this amazing country. One of the most important would be the beautiful and richness culture. There's a lot of places to see, like art museums and film exhibitions. Also, there's many musician artist that I  would love to see, like Natalia Lafourcade, Little Jesus, Ximena Sariña, etc. They have never come to Chile.  A nice time to go is in October because of the Día de los muertos, The city and its streets are full of colourful flowers, pennants and catrinas everywhere. That's why the cementery looks peaceful, mystical, full of hope, joy and respect for their loved ones who are not in this world anymore.  I have friends from Mexico, so I hope to stay in their places hahahaha. So many are from CDMX, where is a place call "Tianguis" that is a street market, like ferias, and is really famous in Mexico. It's a lovely place to visit.
